We marked our 10th anniversary in 2019, and our Nov 1-2 conference at the Kwantlen Polytechnic University campus in Richmond was a great way to celebrate. We were delighted to have Kwantlen joining us as a Board Voice partner and Charity Village joining us as sponsor for the conference, “Circles of Engagement.”
Find bios of our 2019 presenters here. And here’s the agenda – it gives you a sense of the kinds of topics we like, ones that appeal most especially to board members and their organizations’ senior staff.
The conference is a terrific time to connect with sector colleagues and share successes, challenges and strategies. Attendees are a mix of board directors and key staff from our member organizations and other non-profit and umbrella organizations, who come together to learn from each other, deepen their knowledge through informative and engaging presentations, and network with colleagues from around BC.
Because many of our presenters are from the community-based non-profit sector as well, we frequently see them joining in the conversations, enriching the conference experience for all.
Board Voice is resolutely non-partisan and always makes sure to invite political representation from the spectrum of political parties to be part of our conference. However, we do aim to invite key cabinet ministers to speak to participants, who appreciate the chance to hear directly from these decision-makers and influencers of policy.
