Sandra retired from WorkSafeBC after an 18-year career as a Case Manager and Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant.  Prior to this work, she was employed as a Program Officer for the BC Provincial Government Women’s Secretariat, and prior to that she worked as a Rentalsman Officer for BC’s Office of the Rentalsman.

Sandra held a CRCC accreditation in Rehabilitation Counselling through Illinois, USA until 2011, and completed 224 hours of Conflict Resolution at the Justice Institute of BC.  She completed the Community Service Worker Program at Douglas College in 1975.

 In 1988 she completed a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Ethnic Relations, and in 1983 she graduated from an undergraduate program in Public Administration at the University of Victoria. Her volunteer work consists of six years with the board of the Elizabeth Fry Society of BC, including two years as chair, and she was also on the board with the Thomas Merton Society of Canada for five years. She has been on the board with the Greater Vancouver Community Services Society since February 2018
