David and his wife Ann have lived in Prince George since 1975. Prior to moving to Prince George he lived in Burnaby, BC where he was active in Provincial politics.
He was appointed to the first Burnaby Landlord Tennant committee. David’s career spanned over 45 years in telecommunications and the labour movement, after his retirement in 2002 as the President of a National Union.
David has a long history of volunteering. He is currently the Chair of the BC Schizophrenia Society (BCSS) and Chair of the Prince George Branch of BCSS.
David has served as Treasurer for the Prince George Elizabeth Fry Society and the Elizabeth Fry Housing Society. He has volunteered with the Prince George John Howard Society. He was involved with a community homelessness committee organized by the city of Prince George until it was formalized by the city.
He has been involved with Board Voice as a member for a number of years and in activities that Board Voice has conducted in the Prince George area. David has been on the executive of Legion Branch 43 and the Royal Canadian Naval Association, as well as the Pacific Region Allstream Pensioners Representative.
