Ajit has an extensive background in human resources in both Canada and India, having moved to Abbotsford, BC, in 2012 after working in human resources in India with companies including Alcatel-Lucent and IBM.He has been the Human Resources Manager for Home Depot Canada in South Surrey since October 2017. Previously, he was in HR with Sears Canada in Abbotsford. With a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Science, he is a Canadian Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and also has SHRM-SCP accreditation from the USA.
Ajit brings diverse skills and experiences to his work in the non-profit sector, having served on the Abbotsford Community Services Board since 2014. He was the Chair of the Strategic Planning Oversight Committee for Abbotsford Community Services, a position he held from 2015 until 2018. He’s also an Assistant Business Coach with Dale Carnegie Training.
During his years in India, Ajit was in the military and led HR and administration support for officers, combatants and civilian employees across India in both peace and field formations.
