Terry Anne is a past Co-Chair of the Board Voice Society of BC, and Past Chair of the board of directors for Family Services of Greater Vancouver.

She served as a Vice-President, Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan, formerly Association of Canadian Community Colleges) for over 20  years. She was responsible for the advocacy efforts of the association with the federal government. She also managed federally funded initiatives within Canada, including the Federal Government’s first Social Finance project.

She guided the association’s leadership development institutes for potential college/institute presidents, vice-presidents and other institutional leaders, the association’s conferences, and the annual Governors Forum.  She also led the association’s communications and media relations.

Earlier in her tenure, Terry Anne was CICan’s Director, Administration and Finance, and Associate Director, Planning and Systems, International. CICan represents Canada’s colleges, institutes, cégeps, polytechnics, First Nations institutions and universities with a college mandate.

Prior to joining the association, she was President, Saskatoon Region Community College, following several years on the senior management team at Red Deer College in Central Alberta.

Terry Anne has served as the Chair of the Boards of the Alberta Association for Continuing Education; the Saskatchewan Association for Lifelong Learning; and the Red Deer Family Service Bureau. She has been a member of several national boards including the Canadian Association for Adult Education, the Canadian Congress for Learning Opportunities for Women, Sandrine’s Gift of Life National Organ Donor Awareness, the Canadian Transportation Institute, and the National Educational Organizations Committee, which she also chaired.

She was a member of the Industry Canada SchoolNet Advisory Board, and on the boards of the Ottawa Art Gallery and Habitat for Humanity – National Capital Region; the federal Advisory Committee on Literacy and Essential Skills to the Minister of State for Human Resource Development; and the National Advisory Committee on Post-Secondary Education to the Chief Statistician of Canada.

Terry Anne recently completed nine years on the board of the Aboriginal Human Resource Council of Canada Board of Directors.

In addition to her work within Canada, she has worked on a number of overseas projects primarily in the areas of program design, evaluation, strategic planning, and institutional strengthening with government ministries, associations and post-secondary institutions.
