Board Voice’s 8th Annual conference is just around the corner. This year’s conference will be held on November 25 and 26, 2016 at the lovely Coast Plaza Hotel in the heart of Vancouver. This year’s conference will be a bit different. We are bringing the amazing, transformative program called Understanding the Village. This experiential presentation takes participants on a journey
through Aboriginal history from the beginning to the present. Check out the feedback about this program here and here. Ten years in the making, this experience will change your understanding of Aboriginal history and relations in BC. Leslie Varley, Executive Director of BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres, will talk about how Reconciliation is moving forward today.
We also have an exciting line up of workshops including a communications workshop on how to tell your agency’s story. We will have Vantage Point back to deliver another great governance workshop. The BC Coalition for Families will be presenting their comprehensive research on the state of families in BC and, finally, a workshop on the new BC Integrated Youth Services Initiative that is delivering services in a coordinated fashion which may be glimpse into how a social policy framework might work.
The Board is working hard on finalizing the last few speakers. This year’s conference promises to be transformative and is not to be missed! Registration materials will be out shortly.
