Boards Weigh In On DownTown Eastside Audit Issue

GlobeandMail on PHSFamily Services of Greater Vancouver Board Chair Joanne Haucsh and Lookout Society Director Jim Frankish have weighed into the media discussion on the audit scandal that has engulfed the Portland Hotel Society (PHS).

Hausch and Frankish spoke to the Globe & Mail about creating strong oversight through regular board meetings, skilled board members, transparency and developing the right organizational culture.

“You can take a look at a group’s board, its website, its audited financial statements. It’s important that there’s a strong board that meets regularly,” Ms. Hausch said.
