Imagine Canada is an umbrella organization for Canada’s charities and non-profit organizations (or Community Benefit organizations as I like to think of them).
They have been working in partnership with others to “start a New Narrative – a conversation with Canadians about our ’sector’ – who we are, what we do and how we are making a difference.”
They are trying to help us explain to people why it is important that we have a strong voice in public policy.
Their “Core Resource” has information on the size of the sector, rationales for transparency, overhead and expenses, charity rankings, public policy work and our impact.
They also have shorter “Issue & Resources Sheets” on advocacy, compensation, scope of the sector, and fundraising & admin expenses, and videos about who the sector is.
